Corio resident Luke Anderson is a\nyoung man on a mission to inspire people to set goals for themselves, and put\nin the hard work to achieve them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke was part of the official\nproceedings at the opening of the renovated and extended Cloverdale Community\nCentre. The opening event also included a community barbecue, followed by a\nmeeting of the City of Greater Geelong Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first of several public\nspeaking engagements, Luke explained how he used time he spent in prison to set\nout a plan for future achievements. He also spoke about what community centres\nlike Cloverdale mean to people who don\u2019t have all the answers themselves when\nthey want to make serious and lasting change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t always done the right\nthing in my life, but I want to use my mistakes for good in the future,\u201d Luke\nsaid. \u201cI want to use my experience to help others with motivation, overcoming\nbarriers and achieving goals despite societal labels.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke is a participant in the City\nof Greater Geelong leadership program. He is also working as an electrician in\na business he co-owns, as well as working on another business plan that will\nsupply approved apparel to Victorian prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
